When I took over this company from my father in 1979, I had a vision: I wanted to turn BITZER into Europe's leading manufacturer of refrigeration compressors, to achieve a strong global presence, to be at the forefront of technology, to be independent, and to develop the company through controlled growth. Along with that, I took on the responsibility for the long-term security of my employees' jobs. Today, when I look back over the last decades, I see that more than that has been achieved: BITZER is a global player, assures the best quality for refrigeration and air conditioning plants, and is noted for continuous innovation. I continue to put all my abilities at the service of the company, and rejoice every day in our worldwide success. I concentrate on the most important things, and get my energy from a love for contemporary art, which in many BITZER buildings is ubiquitous. Art has always inspired people – and perhaps that's also one of the reasons why BITZER is so successful. I give you all my thanks, and look towards the future with optimism.
